Members of Kappa Alpha Theta are active in both the McGill & Montreal area, the Greek community, and within our own home, Beta Psi. Whether it's at sisterhood retreats, formals, or mixers, you'll always find Thetas having fun! Beta Psi also encourages members to achieve their best academically and significantly support members with leadership positions on campus.

A Letter from our President

Hello, my name is Sarah Ranger. It is my great pleasure and honor to be President of the Beta Psi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta this year. This year as in the past we are confronted with the challenge of how to go forth in the face of COVID-19. Continually tackling challenges that are associated with COVID-19 has resulted in immense teamwork and creative problem solving that would not be possible without all of the cabinet and the collaboration from our chapter. I am very excited for the year to come, and the possibilities that the year brings!

With loosening regulations, we are beginning to transition back to in-person meetings and events. For many members, this will be their first in-person version of hallmark events that characterize membership in Theta. This is very exciting, and allows for older members to relive these events, and see them from fresh eyes!

We are so lucky to be a part of the Theta for Good program again this semester. This program allows us to support local organizations in Montreal in addition to the Theta Foundation, which provides scholarships for Theta women. The organization we supported this past Fall with Theta Touchdown will be the same organization we are supporting this semester, The Missing Children’s Network - this organization is non-profit organization whose mission is to assist parents in the search for their missing child, and to educate the public in order to decrease the occurrence of children disappearing. The Theta for Good program allows us to provide the widest influence for good, which is one of the aims of not only our chapter, but of Kappa Alpha Theta as a whole.

I am very excited for this upcoming year, and I am so excited for our transition to a new normal!

Your President, Sarah Ranger
